IKAT DECORATIVE PILLOW - A decorative pillow made of Indian Ikat
“Ikat” comes from the Malay word 'mengikat' which means to tie or to bind. It most commonly known as an Indonesian technique which requires dyeing of the fabrics prior to weaving. It is a process with many steps that demands a high level of patience and care. The technique is used in many countries and is also featured in the fabric of our Sierra Madre travel wallet.
This decorative pillow is one of our favorite pieces. It is perfectly suited for any living space and will bring light and character to a bedroom, a chaise or a living room. We fell in love with Ikat as simple admirers of the craft several years ago. This led us to incorporate the uniquely woven fabrics in some of our products. When you look closely to the fabric you can see the care with which it was woven.

We import the fabric and then we follow the same process as usual. We Measure. We Cut. We Sew. We Zip. It may sound easy but everything is done with extreme care to bring you the highest quality product.
Ikat fabric can be washed in cold water without much color loss. However, as the dyes are natural and may wash out over time, dry cleaning is preferable.
